Growing up as an Italian-American kid, all of my wonderful memories were shared around a table with a home-cooked Italian meal. There was no restaurant that compared to my mom, Nana or Grammy's home-cooked meals.

Start with something delicious to nibble on - we Italians need breads, EVOO and maybe a little prosciutto to start the night.
Next up is a small dish of pasta, soup, rice or polenta - but don't fill up - Italians always save room for the next course.
Now let's enjoy either Chicken, Meat or Fish.
A platter of vegetables to accompany the main course is always essential to a full Italian meal.
No Italian meal would be complete without the sweet.
